NewsI have some sad news: I'm not going to be able to make it to the devMeet on Saturday. My sweet boyfriend decided to surprise me with concert tickets for Friday night, and then Saturday afternoon I have to work, (which I was going to work around the art fair). Staying up all night, then getting up at 9, to go to the square until 1, and then work until 9:30... I just don't think I can manage it right now, I've been having a hard enough time sleeping as it is.
If you are still interested in the devMeet, here are the details:Scott WILL be there! He's the other Pres of the club, and he's very excited to get you guys together! He's thinking about meeting up at 10:00am at the Forward statue on the square. It's the set of stairs which lead up to the capitol that faces State Street. An image of lady Forward may be seen

If you'd still like to meet me while you're in town make a swing out to Michael's (Arts and Crafts) on the east side, by Target. Maybe you lot can make a field trip after the Art Fair. I'd still like to meet you guys, and I would love to make a devMeet work out, this day just became more of an inconvience than anything... I'm terribly sorry. It was not an easy dicision to make, but as I said... I haven't been sleeping too well and this would just be a bad idea for me.
If you have ideas for a devMeet share them! What is it you guys would be willing to meet up for? I know I suggested a picnic last year, and maybe getting all day passes for the Metro and randomly riding around Madison, seeing the sights and having fun. The pass is $3.40.
If you have an event coming up in a city that's *not* Madison, let us know! Maybe there are deviants that wouldn't mind also travelling to your city to have some fun!
For those of you in the Madison area, you know we can also meet any time! You guys ARE artistic, right? You DO buy art supplies, don't cha??? Come out to Michael's east... I may be able to score you some cupons!

First of all, let me explain a bit about the club, and why we are here. Basically, a fellow deviant (*
scottalynch) and I were looking for a club for Wisconsinites when we discovered that the one that was here wasn't updated much, and didn't seem too terribly interesting - so rather that trying to overthrow the owners of that club, we decided to start our own!
We are here to try to get the members of Wisconsin together for Dev Meets, and various online activities, as well. The club is open to Wisconsin residents of all ages, and also welcomes residents of other states that have previously lived here, or just simply love the state for whatever reason.
JoiningIf you are interested in joining the club, all you have to do is note or comment to let us know, and add our club to your friend's list. We'll take care of the rest!
Submitting to the Gallery As always, I am trying to gather some Wisconsin-based art work from any member willing to allow us to display their work. I encourage ALL TYPES of art to be displayed! I give each artist the guarantee that their work will be used only for the purposes of being displayed in the ~
cheeseheads gallery, and will never be sold, manipulated, or used in any other way. In order to participate, all you need to do is send me a link of the art you want displayed via note, and add a little message in your description such as "I hereby give ~
cheeseheads the right to display this piece in their gallery." Very simple!
Member InvolvementWe are pretty laid back and don't expect much in return from our members. We are hoping, though, to gather a group of individuals that are excited to meet everyone else, and get involved in the club; however, if you don't feel much like giving to the group, no worries! All that we ask is that you add us to your friend's list, and consider checking out the gallery once in a while.
You are not required to put our icon all over everything, but we really do love it when our members spread the word about the club!!!
